Chronister, Jacob S. (b. 1812, d. 16 Feb 1863)
Note: BIOGRAPHY: Notes on the Family of Johannes Chronister 1708-1782 by Gary Chronister, 1983, p 44;
JACOB B. CHRONISTER the fourth son of Heinrich and Elizabeth Chronister was born in the year 1812 in Latimore Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Soon after his birth the family moved to a farm in Reading Township to the south owned by his grandfather Heinrich Chronister. Jacob's father died when he was only 2 in 1814 and he, along with his sister Mary Ann and brother Henry, was adopted by their former neighbor in Latimore Township CHRISTIAN HEART. By 1830 Jacob was living with his brother John in Cumberland County to the north and was still living there in 1840with his brothers William, John, and Henry. Sometime during the 1840's Jacob yet unmarried moved from Cumberland County to Fluvanna County, Virginia where he was later married to ELIZE A. who was born in 1827. Chronister, Henrich (b. 1813, d. AFT 1840)
Note: BIOGRAPHY: Notes on the Family of Johannes Chronister 1708-1782 by Gary Chronister, 1983, p 43;
HENRY CHRONISTER the fifth son of Heinrich and Elizabeth Chronister was born in the year 1813 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. It appears that Henry was only a few months old when his father died in March of 1814 and he was legally adopted by CHRISTIAN HEART of Latimore Twonship. By 1820 he was living with his mother in Reading Township and in 1830 with his older brother William in Huntington Township to the north. The last record that can be found of Henry was in the year 1840 when he was living with his brothers William, John, and Jacob in Cumberland County, Pa. at the age of 26. It appears that he died sometime during the 1840's but no proof of this can be found.
