JONAS CHRONISTER - The second son of Abraham and Julianna Chronister was born August 28, 1804 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Jonas was given part of his grandfather Heinrich Chronister's farm by his father in 1825 and lived there as a farmer and teamster all of his life. About 1830 he was married to MARGARET SOWERS, born 1811, and raised the following children;
1) LEVI, b May 6, 1831
2) SARAH, b 1833
3) JOSEPH, b April 4, 1835
4) JAMESON, b December 16, 1841 died young.
Jonas died on April 6, 1882 at the age of 77 and is buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetery at Hampton, Pa.

SIMON CHRONISTER the third son of Abraham and Julianna Chronister was born on June 24, 1806 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Simon lived his entire life in Reading Township and earned his living as a farmer. In about 1834 he married to MARY ANN who was born on July 6, 1811. They were the parents of the following children;
1) EMANUEL A., b Feb 3, 1835
2) LYDIA ANN, b 1837
3) MARY AGNES, b 1839
4) MARGARET L., b 1841
5) ISRAEL JOSEPH, b Jan 1843
6) FRANCIS R., b 1848
Simon died on May 5, 1879 at the age of 72 and his wife Mary Ann on May 13, 1873. They are both buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetery at Hampton, Pennsylvania.

CHRISTIAN CHRONISTER the fourth son of Abraham and Julianna Chronister was born on May 14, 1810 in Reading Township, Adams, Pennsylvania. About 1833 Christian was married to JULIANN who was born on October 11, 1808. He began farming in Reading Township and later moved to Franklin Township of York County to the east. In the 1850's Christian settled in Latimore Township in Adams County where he spent the remainder of his life. Christian and Juliann were the parents of the following children;
1) SOLOMON, b 1834, d July 13, 1837
2) REBECCA, b Aug 23, 1836, d Mar 4, 1837
3) ISRAEL, b Jul 28, 1838
4) MARY ANN, b 1839
5) ELI, b Aug 29, 1840, d Sep 14, 1842

7) ADAM, b Mar 1843
8) CATHERINE, b Apr 19, 1844, d Mar 19, 1845

Christian died Janurary 1, 1895 at the age of 84 and his wife Juliann on December 20, 1887. They are both buried in the Lower Bermudian Lutheran Cem. in Latimore Township.

LEVI CHRONISTER the fifth son of Abraham and Julianna Chronister was born on December 13, 1811 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Levi spent his entire life as a farmer in Reading Township near the place of his birth. In or about 1839 he was married to RACHEL who was born on February 26, 1811. In 1840 Levi was living in Reading Township with his wife, his younger brother Emanuel, and his mother Julianna. Levi and Rachel started their family that year and were the parents of the following children (lists 8 children, Edward not included)
Levi died on July 2, 1892 at the age of 80 and his wife Rachel on June 14, 1882. They are both buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetery at Hampton, Pennsylvania.

EMANUEL CHRONISTER the sixth son of Abraham and Julianna Chronister was born June 12, 1815 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Emanuel spent his life farming in Reading Township near the place of his birth. In or about 1844 he was married to MARY who was born in 1823 and they were the parents of the following children; (7 children listed);
Emanuel died at the young age of 41 on January 6, 1857 probably of an illness or farming accident. He is buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetery at Hampton, Pa.
