BIOGRAPHY: Notes on the Family of Johannes Chronister 1708-1782 by Gary Chronister, 1983, p 34;
BENJAMIN CHRONISTER the fifth son of Johannes and Catherine (Oberholtzer) Chronister was born on September 20, 1810 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Benjamin lived on his father's farm in Reading Township until Johannes' death in 1841 when he received one-third of the plantation with his younger brothers Jesse and John. Soon after his father's death he was married to ELIZABETH who was born on September 28, 1808. Benjamin and Elizabeth never had children and left all their worldly belongings to his surviving brothers and sisters when he died on March 18, 1881 at the age of 70. Elizabeth died on July 22, 1885 and they are both buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetary at Hampton, Pa.

BIOGRAPHY: Notes on the Family of Johannes Chronister 1708-1782 by Gary Chronister, 1983, p 31;
SAMUEL CHRONISTER the third son of Johannes and Catherine (Oberholtzer) Chronister was born on December 15, 1804 in Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Samuel remained on his fathers farm until about 1839 when he was married to LEAH who was born in May of 1819. They were the parents of the following children; [Leah, Daniel, Margaret, Rebecca, Sarah, Elizabeth - NOTE: Abraham not included]
When Samuel's father Johannes died in 1841, he willed his plantation in Tyrone Township of Adams County to his sons Samuel and Jacob. Samuel spent the rest of his life farming there until his death on April 9, 1865 at the age of 60. He is buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetary at Hampton, Pa. Leah was still living in 1900 with her son Daniel in Chicago, Illinois.
