CONFLICT: Is it possible this is John Mathias? Census records and his children are certain John Mathias was born in or before 1860.

DEATH: Since no one seems to remember this individual (assuming he is NOT John Mathias), it is assumed he died young.

BIOGRAPHY: Notes on the Family of Johannes Chronister 1708-1782 by Gary Chronister, 1983, p 18;
ABRAHAM CHRONISTER - the eldest son of Abraham and Juliana Chronister was born on November 21, 1798 in Reading Township, York (later Adams) County, Pennsylvania. Abraham was given land in Cumberland County by his father where he lived for sometime but spent the greater part of his life farming in Reading Township. About 1830 Abraham was married to ELIZA who was born on December 7, 1811. They were the parents of the following children;
1) DANIEL S., born-September 14, 1833
2) SON, born-1836 died young
3) SON, born-1839 died young
4) OLIVE, born-1842
5) FESTUS, born-1844 died young
6) ABRAHAM C., born-August 21, 1846 died-December 13, 1848
7) MATTIE, born-1853
8) EMMA, born-1857
Abraham died on April 20, 1869 at the age of 70 and his wife Eliza on August 23, 1882. They are both buried in the Hampton Lutheran Cemetary at Hampton, Pa.
