... Removed to Lebanon in 1700 after selling his land for a parsonage. He was the Deputy to the General Court from Lebanon in Oct 1705 and May 1708. Appt. Lieut. of 1st train band of Lebanon in May, 1709. Hel held public office as early as 1692 - 2nd constable; 1st he was a townsman. He was appt. in Norwich 10 years after moving to Lebanon to a committee. He was a large land holder in Norwich and in Lebanon. His wife - listed in the 1701 church record. His name was not added until 1707. 1687, Feb 13, he was granted land in Norwich at Trading Cove Brook "by his fathers to be laid out by measure 30 or 40 rods wide, the length of his fathers land."
