Surname: Chronister

Abrham Chronister, the 3rd son of Johannes and Anna Elizabeth Chronister was born 1787 in Latimore Township in what is now Adams Co. He married Sophia Mary who was born May 21, 1788. Their known first child was Eliza born 22 Sept 1817. They settled in Reading Township and stayed there for the rest of their life. Who is Sophia Mary? Both are buried in the Lower Bermudian Church Cemetery in Latimore Township.

Lydia Leamer legatee of Moses Chronister 1869

Surname: CHRONISTER, LEAMER

Moses Chronister, the 5th son of Johannes and Anna Elizabeth Chronister born 15 Feb 1798 died 19 Nov 1869. In his will he leaves his estate to his brothers and sisters, a brother in law and sister in law, a neice(Elizabeth Meyer the surviving daugher of his son Jacob) and Lydia Leamer. Since he was a younger one of his siblings most of his brothers and sisters were dead and their share was split among their children. These children are named in the estate papers of 1884. Also named is Lydia Leamer who gets a full share just as if she were a sister. Moses' father does not declare her a legatee. But in the Orpan Court Records she is daclared to be a sister of Moses. Who is Lydia Leamer of age in 1869 and alive in 1884 when the estate is settled?

Cronister, Matthias (b. )
Note: SOURCE: edmorrill@home.com (Mar 2000): Johannes who m Maria Barbara was born 1708 in Germany or Switzerland and in 1738 he and his brother Matthias sailed for America on the Winter Galley arriving in Philadelphia 5 Sep 1738. In 1742 he [Johannes] purchased land in Huntington Township Lancaster Co., which became York Co in 1749. Chronisters have lived in that area since then. Matthias is believed to have gone south.
