Henry and Elizabeth are from FHC database, 12/91, per Prodigy correspondent. Cf. NEGHR 111:168-9, which states they are POSSIBLY parents of Henry the immigrant! The family (surname also Cogan) appears to descend from a baronial family which took its name from a fief in Gloucestershire.

Giles Rickard was Judith Coggan's second husband. She was originally married to William King. When the family came to America in 1637, they were accompanied by her son Samuel King. Judith died 6 Feb 1661/1662 and later Giles took as a second wife Joan (____) Tilson, widow of Edmund Tilson and still later as a third wife Hannah (Pontius) Churchill, widow of John Churchill.

Giles Rickard and Judith Coggan's first born was Giles Rickard Jr., born in England about 1623, from whose descendant this information comes - Ken Hart 1776 Stuart St. Cambria CA 93428 805-927-3898 (3/97)
